Governor Walker uses the budget excuse to enforce changes that having nothing to do with the budget but everything to do with his religious beliefs!
What does this have to do with state budgets?
Quote:
Gov. Scott Walker’s budget would repeal a state law requiring insurance companies cover prescription birth control.
Just what we need, another politician who thinks a god is directing them!

Walker, the son of a Baptist minister, relayed to the crowd two anecdotes that he credits with giving him political perspective.
One involved the story of Jesus and Peter. In the story, Peter walked on water with Jesus' help, until he lost faith and sank into the water.

As long as Walker doesn't announce that he's going to part the waters of Lake Superior and invade Canada, I think Wisconsin will probably survive his term.

Governors dictate what insurance companies must offer in their state.. Did you not know this? Whats this have to do with state budgets? Nothing.. but are you telling me the only job of a Governor is budgeting? Then why do we pay them all year for something that only takes a few weeks normally to produce?
your comment about god is just ridiculous.. and adds nothing to the topic ther than do display hate..

Governor’s anti-birth control position displayed throughout budget
Quote:
MADISON, WI – With his antibirth control beliefs in full display, Governor Walker’s budget completely eliminates Title V, the only state funded family planning health care program, which provides critical health care services to uninsured women and men including cervical cancer screens, prostate cancer screenings, breast and well women exams, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases and access to birth control. The Governor also continues his assault on basic rights and allows discrimination against women by repealing the Wisconsin’s Contraceptive Equity law. Governor Walker’s budget allows insurance companies to discriminate against women by denying coverage for prescription birth control even when other prescriptions are covered.

If this has nothing to do with a budget obviously it has to do with Walker's personal beliefs.

Why should Walker interfere with the private business of women, their doctors, and the insurance companies? How does denying women birth control coverage benefit the state of WI?
Seriously, if this is not government overreach, I don't know what is!

And? It wasnt someones personal belief tht insurance companies should pay for them to begin with?
