I would love to get a statistic of what percentage of all people work for the state or federal government today?
I'd like to compare it to what it was when JFK came to office and adjust it back to the percentage of employees there were in the 60s.
It's all our of hand and bloated.

This will give you an idea at federal level under several Presidents. Under JFK, there were 13.3 federal employees for every 1000 population, compared to now which is about 8.4 federal employees for every 1000.

That doesnt tell the whole picture because it ignores the fact that the federal government now contracts out far more services than they did under JFK. They now contract out things like healthcare, prisons, road construction etc.

Where is the option for continuing to pass these 3-4 week budgets?

Sounds good to me If you listen to the hearings on C-SPAN,
not one person wants to "cut back" on their own pet program.
Listening to Hilary the other day - just too much.

That would have been a good option, if the Conservatives would just allow 3 to 4 wk budgets with cuts made everytime they would eventually get their budget cuts they wanted.
