DSA (Democratic Socialists of America) is the largest socialist organization outside of the CPUSA (Communist Party U.S.A.) honest enough not to masquerade as something other than what they are.

1997 DSA goals to attain by 2017 included:
A U.S. President from the Progressive Caucus, a 50 member socialist caucus in Congress, successful programs of the likes of universal health care, progressive taxation, social provision and campaign finance reform.

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened."
- Norman Thomas, American socialist and presidential candidate

And the problem with this is . . . . (other than that it's not true)?

I have no problem with the DSA.

Meaning you probably need the government to make it.

Yea number one this isn't true, number two I'd bet the house that you and most other people don't know what democratic socialism is. It's not communism and it's certainly not an authoritarian regime.

It's trying to live off of other people's money (confiscating a ton) and then being directed by the government as to how to spend it and eventually how you should live.

Don't need that, leads to a horrible reduction in the standard of living. Gets dummies as students in public schools as we all notice now.

We want the best and the brightest to go on, not an attempt to create equal outcomes.

Would you perhaps be a proponent of eugenics?

Communists are running ads attempting to "normalize" it in the US. Sad, very sad.

I just said it's not communism. Just google the term if you are unsure what it means.

So you're a conservative who's a fan of balancing the budget, but not of doing so by raising taxes on those who have benefited the most from the business environment that the US government as cultivated.
