Tea party voted for McCain because he was White, so I guess the flip side makes sense.

Only people who have no clear understanding of politics and with no real grasp on the issues would vote for someone based upon their race.

Our current POTUS--case in point.

I'd vote for Marco Rubio were he to run. He is clearly a superior public servant, a man of honor and a man of his word. THAT is what this country needs.

BTW, SF, no Tea Party person in their right mind would vote for McCain. He's the antithesis of everything they've campaigned for.

Total BS!
If McCain was running against Herman Cain,
the Tea Party would vote for the black guy.

I said voted, past tense. Not some future hypothetical election. McCain ran against Obama and teabaggers voted for McCain.

Unless you suggest they voted for Obama???

Your damn right, but understand something. To them, Cain is just U. T.
I'd never vote on race, but I'd vote for Rubio should he run because I think he will someday be ready to steer this ship right.

Wow! Nice.

Oh well, i guess i should just be happy that this isn't the normal anti-black thread that pops up twice daily on C-D. No...today, it's bash the Hispanic (and especially Mexicans) Day!

Amazing how scared and fearful Conservatives are of almost EVERYTHING! When it's not Al-Kye-da....or the blacks, the La-tee-noes are always available.

Why in the world would they have voted for someone
who stands diametrically opposed to everything the
Tea Party stands for regardless of his race?
That's just dumb!
