That's an understatement to say the least. I'd love to know what's wrong with people who live in mobile homes.

Yea, but all Tea Partiers vote Republican....which pretty much makes them Republicans. In the last election, every Tea Partier ran as a Republican. THAT makes them Republicans too!

I don't pay the Tea Party any mind. They're Repubs. It's just two sides of the same coin.

Republicans, that's who.
Name a Democrat that would pursue the TP'ers vote. From the beginning Dem leadership and their media syncophants stupidly painted them as racists, violent and so on.

Because to a TP'er, they feel they have a better shot at less gov't and less spending because few, if any, Dems run on a platform of lowering ALL spending and reducing the size of the Fed gov't.

Unfortunately, may Rs have run on that platform and once elected, proceeded to backslide.

Hence the TP movement.

Because one does not equal the other. Some tea party people are independents, libertarians, democrats, etc and not all republicans are active in the tea party. Can we get any more simpler?
Then why did every Tea Party candidate in the last election run as a Republican?

Answer: because it's the same thing.

Because the Democrats go out of their way to cater to the exact opposite of the Tea Party.

Tea Party organizations ran fiscal conservatives against established Republican candidates in last year's primaries. At this point, there is no love lost between the Tea Party movement and the Republican Party. The Republican Party understands they are facing a hostile take-over.

Dessertdetroiter says the Tea Party movement and Republican Party are two sides of the same coin, but we see Republicans and Democrats as two sides of the same coin.

For that reason, it is our intention to take over the Republican Party. We don't need to worry about Democrats since we only need one party to accomplish our goals.

I would love for that to be true, I have heard of libertarians saying that for years also. The problem I see are more TPers are starting to sound like social conservatives.

It only appears to you as if the TEA party is partisan, because the only political party talking seriously about legislation to lower the debt and reduce federal spending is the Republican Party. Remember, the $14+ trillion debt and many of the expansions in government were accumulated during both democrat and republican presidencies.

The TEA Party movement is nothing more then a coming together of people who are extremely concerned over the $14+ trillion debt, the runaway spending by both parties in government, and the ever widening power and scope of government. The movement counts democrats, republicans and independents among its ranks, it is not a partisan group.
