Whoever is responsible for initiating the lowering of credit rating from AAA better sleep with one eye open.

No matter how hard the Repubs try to make the issue Debt, it is still jobs. Cutting spending nor raising taxes, resolves the jobs issue. The Debt is long term and unless the jobs problem is resolved, there will be no long term. I understand why the Repubs do not want to address jobs, they know the only solutions to that, are presented by the Dems and the GOP has no solutions for that. The US Bond ratings will lower until the real problems are solved.

Republicans need this country to struggle, to try and win in 2012. Any doubt about that?

ARRA for one. Promotion of incentives to small businesses, promotion of programs that can help promote economic growth. And yes that would also includes saving and perhaps increasing jobs within the governments (although, one could easily argue that the number of government employees is currently at its lowest level in at least a half century).

As a citizen, I think that the idea of firing people in government jobs is the way to job growth. People working in government agencies are no different than me. What have republicans done?
