"Washington DC talk show host Chris Plante reported today that Barack Obama omitted the words "under God" from the Gettysburg Address when reciting the great speech for a Ken Burns documentary. Curiously enough, in his version of the speech, President Barack Obama's delivery contained an omission - in a line that every other celebrity delivered as "that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom," the President left out the words 'under God."'

Obama Removes 'God' From Gettysburg Address

All he's doing is reciting what someone else said. I don't give a flying c*ap what he believes. It's not his speech. It's Lincoln's. I don't care what book knowledge he has. The man is an idiot with absolutely no common sense.

It's not fair to blame BO on this, blame whoever chose to leave it out of the teleprompter.

I bet you cons didn't know that there was more than 1 version of the Gettysburg Address.

Gettysburg Address - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I bet you cons didn't know that this version, which doesn't include the words "under God," is the one that Obama was asked to record.

And I bet you didn't know that this version is the one that is stored in the Library of Congress.

Gettysburg Address | Exhibitions - Library of Congress

Talk about historical ignorance... you cons wrote the book on it. Why else would Republicans be so proud of the Confederate flag?

I've begun to realize Obama is just not that smart. He's smooth and presentable...remember what Biden said about him...but bright? But the people who manage him know exactly what they're doing and they know exactly the image they want to present.

If only they could get him to read the Thanksgiving Proclamation. Now that would be funny.
