Birthers won't believe it unless FAUX News verifies!
Exactly. If its something that ruins their narrative, its "OMGLIBERALBIAZ!11!!1!". It has to be run on atleast 5 different Conservative sites that they approve of, aired on FOX atleast 10 times, and be verified by a three person panel consisting of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Sarah Palin...
It says "Natural born citizen". Anybody is a natural born citizen who is born to American parents. Dosen't matter where he was born.
More precisely, Congressman Bingham (primarily responsible for Section 1 of the 14th Amendment) on exactly who is a natural born citizen...
Quote:
"I find no fault with the introductory clause, which is simply declaratory of what is written in the Constitution, that every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen; but, sir, I may be allowed to say further, that I deny that the Congress of the United States ever had the power or color of power to say that any man born within the jurisdiction of the United States, and not owing a foreign allegiance, is not and shall not be a citizen of the United States."
"The phrase, "subject to its jurisdiction" was intended to exclude from its operation children of ministers, consuls, and citizens or subjects of foreign States born within the United States."
So, whenever I visit another country, I am "Owning allegiance" to this country? No.
And your Supreme Court quote dosen't support your claim. If that was even the case, children of illegal immigrants wouldn't be U.S. citizens. Anyway, that wouldn't apply to the American mom abroad anyway

No. You owe allegiance to another country when you are a citizen of that country. Obama owed allegiance to the UK at birth having been born a citizen of the UK via his father. Organizing for America acknowledges that.

You're confusing 'citizen' with 'natural born citizen.' They're not the same.
Obama may be a US citizen, but he is not a natural born citizen. Obama is Constitutionally ineligible.
There is not a single current judge, congressman, constitutional scholar or law professor who agrees with your interpretation of the natural born citizen clause. There have been several former presidents, VPs, major party nominees and candidates who had non-citizen parents, and none ever had their citizenship seriously questioned on that basis.

It's funny that many of the same people who rush to discredit any story from HuffPost will go out of their way to post stories from Glenn Beck's website or WND.

Citizen means just that anyone who is a citizen of the U.S. Natural Born Citizen is anyone who obtained U.S citizenship via being born in the U.S, as Obama did. The end
