O.K You're losing me. I really don't see your point in this. Who did Jamaica ever invade? Jamaicans generally feel no more loyalty toward the the British crown than we do if that's where you're going. In fact many see them as the oppressors because they were a British colony for much longer. That's why they move here. Either way why are we even on the topic of accents? The man is not Jamaican, He's American born of Jamaican immigrants. He's only been to Jamaica maybe to visit relatives and probably never visited Britain until he was grown.

Don't you find it funny that the U.S. never freed Jamaica?
Not because he's black. And definately not because he's a Republican. Colin Powell seems to me to have always had 1 main ingredient the candidates of both parties lack. Integrity. I've never heard Colin Powell blindly get caught up in partisan politics. He follows his own logic and conscience regardless of who agrees with him and I admire that. Plus I think a former 5 star General would make an awesome Commander and Chief right now given our foreign quagmires...
I would suggest that you are proof that the American people simply love to be lied to. It seems to be a prerequisite for any potential government official to gain public support .... to be a liar. Why is that?
Now, I know the supporters say Gen. Powell was misled, and given bad intelligence. But, this is not the first time Gen. Powell has been caught fibbing:
Of course, we have only two possibilities ... Colin Powell was lied to, and he repeated the lie to the UN to justify the Iraq war .... or he went along to get along.
Either he has very poor judgment and as the Secretary of State, didn't have a clue what was really going on (not a good thing) or he knew what was actually going on in the White House, and went along with it.
Intelligence sources for which Gen. Powell had access says that the Administration knew that the the "script" delivered to the UN was a pack of lies.
While in the Bush administration, Colin Powell went along with the lies, and used his "credibility" to sell this war.
In 2008, Gen. Powell, the Republican, decided to move to the left, and endorse Democrat Barry Soetero, aka Obama, perhaps the greatest liar ever to occupy the White House.
Once again, why do the American people love lies so much?
Don't you find it funny that the U.S. never freed Jamaica?
Not really. Why would we? The U.S doesn't free anyone from the kindness of our own heart. There's always an angle where we benefited when we started messing with foreign countries despite whatever propaganda we tell the public and use to motivate the troops. Is there a practical reason for us to start a conflict with Britain over Jamaica?

Um, you need to get with the program. The reason Powell cannot run for president can be summed up in a single phrase:
My Lai Massacre (Vietnam)
Also I would seriously question anyone who was duped by intelligence reports that Iraq had, um, "WMD" (snicker).
The difference between Colin Powell and me is that I've actually seen nuclear and chemical weapons and know more about them than Powell ever will.

Good Question. I guess when we talk about politicians honor and honesty can only be spoken of in relative terms. I can't name a president in my lifetime that doesn't have at least one big lie and dozens of little lies associated with them. Can you? The only people voting for a forthcoming and honest candidate are the ones voting for Mickey Mouse. That's our dilemmna as voters. Who ISN'T just telling us what we want to hear and betraying us once they're seated?

That they are I guess. What I'm not getting is ever since maybe the war of 1812 why should that concern us more than say...Cuba. Whom we can see from Key West with the naked eye? Educate me what is our modern beef with Britain ever since America had become a superpower? I think you're assuming I know something that I must admit I don't. I thought we were A O.K with the Brits ever since WWII. We don't even mind their Socialism
