This article is a bit sketch. Just who did the U of HI employee call, for example?
An April 1961 memo said that a University of Hawaii employee called to report that Mr Obama Sr. had married Ann Dunham, the future president’s mother.
I thought Obama, Sr. had to go back to Kenya b/c his student visa had expired.
I call BS!
Somethings not quite right here. He's the father of an american child. His wife is american. Just why did he have to leave here again?
Also, just why would his mother marry him if she knew he had another wife back in kenya? What's her story on this one?
And, yes, your follow-up about running around with white women confirms that this isn't just about a particular man.
It will be interesting to see which new conspiracy the birthers settle on now that the last was disproven. Right now it's an open marketplace of unwarranted ideas bouncing around, but one will stick. Such people will never accept this particular president as legitimate, even in the face of irrefutable fact.

Not an uncommon thing to do in Kenya---and legal there to have more than one wife. But to answer your question, yes, he did. It's public knowledge and has been for a very long time.
What on earth difference does Obama's parent's relationship make other than it probably made Barack a stronger person in the long run, the way he was raised?

Simple. She didn't know that he had a wife back in Kenya. And he had to go back because his education over here was funded by a Kenya government grant that expected him to come back and use that education to help the country.

I teach kids who come from disfunctional families. It very rarely makes them stronger. It usually just makes them neurotic.
In regards to mr obama, he's the potus. Why can't we know of his family, his upbringing. Just what are you afraid of? I seem to remember tons of stories about the kennedys. We seem to know next to nothing of mr obama's family by comparison. Why the riticence?
Just because he had a child and was married to an American, doesn't mean you can stay in this country legally.
