You are comparing the Bush family's heritage and history in the US to that of the Obama family's?? I'd say there's a whole lot more 'fodder' on the Bush side than there is on the Obama side.

Where did I say I have a problem with interracial relationships? It is a fact interracial relationships in the 60s were frowned upon. It is also a fact that Obama Sr.'s cavorting with white women got him booted.

Even the Yahoo article says "suggests" Obama, Sr. was forced to leave. While interracial relationships were not as accepted in the 60s as they are today, they did happen.
As I read through this thread I am both amazed and saddened by several things. Primarily I believe that this thread illustrates the complete and utter failing of the main stream media to vet Obama the candidate or this discussion would likely not even be taking place. Obama's background would have been transparent. Because it was not made transparent by the media; and, because Obama himself has purposefully withheld information, the fire is fueled by questions and accusations that divide this country.
For those "late to the game" and just asking these questions now and for others to chide them as racists for their hunger for information is truly pathetic. No one forced Obama into a life of politics to have his life examined under a microscope. He did so out of his own choices and motivations. Therefore it is neither racist nor inappropriate to investigate and discuss that which the mainsteam media had a responsibility to do more than three years ago but left largely untouched.
Since Obama is running for re-election, people are just now finding out and having those questions which should have been discovered long ago, answered now. I hope as the remaining candidates announce for the 2012 election that people will ask the important questions of their candidates and the media well before the election rather than more than halfway through the next 4 yr. term.
