Well, who didn't know this? Whenever the government is involved, the red tape and bureaucratic maze is a given.

Ah yes, we have to pass the bill before we know what's in it.

Obama plan for health care quality dealt a setback - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110511/ap_on_he_me/us_health_care_setback - broken link)

Quote:
But in an unusual rebuke, an umbrella group representing premier organizations such as the Mayo Clinic wrote the administration Wednesday saying that more than 90 percent of its members would not participate, because the rules as written are so onerous it would be nearly impossible for them to succeed.

"It's not just a simple tweak, it's a significant change that needs to be made," said Donald Fisher, president of the American Medical Group Association, which represents nearly 400 large medical groups around the country providing care for roughly 1 in 3 Americans.
Truly incredible. Whoever the GOP nominee is should make this a major plank of their campaign. In fact, I can't wait to hear the ads about obamacare, stories like this, all the waivers.

And obama and the dems OWN it.

I can hazard a guess most people didn't hear about this story last week. Another instance of the MSM ignoring and suppressing the "news".

Being "unworkable" was the plan from the beginning. This is just the first bite at "single payer". We're all doomed.

There will be no single payer, as long as the GOP controls the House and is likely to take the Senate and hopefully the WH in 2012. It will be repealed right quick.

Truly amazing that people actually still try to defend this mess.

I just posted a thread about the newest round of waivers.......from Nancy's district. Restaurants and night clubs. You just can't make this stuff up it is so ridiculous.

The Dems DO own this and it will eventually be their major downfall.

Yes, just like it was in 2010.

The GOP candidates will make hay of this and other failures of the law that was shoved down our throats. Not to mention SCOTUS will likely be taking up the appeal before the election.

There are a couple of key quotes in this story. "Many in the health care industry were silent partners backing Obama's overhaul law..." This administration made lots of promises to keep the health care industry from going into full revolt and opposing Obamacare.

But all of a sudden they're discovering the bad news..."the administration blueprint rapidly exposes them to potential financial losses."

Seriously, what did these people expect from an administration full of socialists and radicals hellbent on "medical equality" and hostile to the idea of a profits. These dumb bastards sold their souls to the devil and now they're complaining.

Well before Obamacare was passed, physicians from coast to coast were declining to take Medicare patients. I personally know two people who searched for weeks, if not months, in order to find a physician who would accept them as patients. One was a friend already ON Medicare and her physician just dropped Medicare as a payor. The other was my cousin and when she turned 65 she searched for weeks to find a physician. (Her old one would not accept her new insurance--Medicare.) The situation will only get worse.

Probably the most short-sighted statement I've seen in a long time.
