There are plenty of bars the country over that charge cover for guys but let girls in free.

How is that not discrimination?

It is a bars policy in a male dominated world. Men want the chicks to be in the bar so they can chat them up or pick them up. So they devised this marketing ploy to let the women in free and the men will follow and you do!

Oh I totally understand the logic behind it, I'm just wondering how it's not discrimination.

I think New Jersey banned Ladies Nights. Technically, I see the point, but in reality, it seems kind of a dumb legal challenge. I mean, is there a problem with too many hot women in bars?

Legally, it is discrimination, and when some killjoy wants to sue a bar over ladies night, they generally win.

In practice, the "victims" don't mind generally and law enforcement and prosecutors spend their time on more important matters.

If its a private business, isn't it the right of the owner to offer such amenities to whomever? Geeeeeez, who cares about this stuff? They need to get a life!

How are senior discounts legal? Isn't that also discrimination in the same manner?

Maybe it has to do with getting a free ride so to speak. And they want one too?
