So much for the tea party being small government libertarians

Herman Cain would trade liberty for security | United Liberty | Free Market - Individual Liberty - Limited Government

The website has a libertarian bent. Their slogan at the top says "Free Market, Individual Liberty, Limited Government" for crying out loud, how is any of that anti-American?

Cain is a traditional republican, not a libertarian. Same goes for most of the Tea Party; very few except for those who were there when it was founded can be considered "libertarians." I wish it would stayed small-scale movement and focused on fiscal responsibility.

The Tea Party is a shell of it's former self.

I remember back in 07 when the Tea Party was starting as a spin off to the whole Ron Paul "rEVOLution" as a statement against Republicans and Democrats alike. Now it has merely been swallowed up into the Republican party neo-con mainstream.

So wanting to follow the constitution, advocating small government and civil liberties now constitutes as being a leftist and anti-american?

The banner on the website reads "Websites for Conservative Campaigns"

Anyone who doesn't understand how the Patriot Act allows spying on Americans is an idiot.

I suppose if you repeat someone else's propaganda often enough, it eventually becomes true.

Sigh...

How is Obama a better choice? He had ample opportunity to derail the Patriot Act and failed to act.

Perhaps one day you'll wake up and realize it isn't us vs them (D vs R). It's government vs the citizenry.

Attempting to paint this as a partisan issue in an attempt to gain a few political points is pathetic and only serves to illustrate that extreme partisans are part of the problem rather than the solution.
