Really, if Spike Lee didn't care about money and the quality of his films are so far above TP's movies then why act like a sourpuss? He's jealous of something TP has, either it's money or it's the attention he gets among the media (daytime talk shows for instance).

I never said that he didn't care about money. Even the Pope cares about money. The issue here isn't money, but his opinion regarding movie content.

First of all, i never said that his films are "so far above TP's." Spike Lee films are another genre altogether. His style and cinematograpy is all it's own. They aren't really competing for the same audience for the most part.

Again, money isn't or shouldn't be an issue for Spike. He's made a lot of films, docs, and commercials. He's wealthy as all hell. He's an educated man. He's not interested in having homes on 5 continents. He's Brooklyn to his bone marrow. I doubt that he even leaves the borough except for when he absolutely has to.

And the issue can't be attention either. If that's the case, there are several movie producers that he can critisize. Spike Lee can get all the media attention he wants. He can utter something completely nonsensical, and it'll get covered immediately because he is who he is. Hell, the cameras must pan him 10 times during a Knick game alone. If he wants to be on Ellen, he can be on Ellen.

Let's not make this thing more than what it is...his opinion about another film maker. Leave it at that. No need to ascribe more motives to his opinion than necessary.

Are you sure? He sure looks it and sounds like it. He must be closeted- down low.

He not only DOESN'T "look" gay (whatever that means), but he doesn't sound like it either.

If he's closeted, i can't say. Maybe Ronald Reagan was a closeted gay too. LOL...really though, what you're saying is just THAT ridiculous (hence the stupid analogy by me).

What do you think of the representation of blacks in entertainment?
Why would ANYONE care what any entertainer thinks?

Never seen any of his movies, and not interested in watching them. But props to him for making that money.

There are many facets to the black experience. Spike Lee shows one. Tyler another. Why aren't blacks allowed to be diverse?
