Actually you DO get it....almost...

Yes, he liked for people to have a choice between suffering unnecessarily until death or cutting out the gawdawful part.

His illness was not terminal(look the word up) but he did not let nature take it's course, he went to a hospital.

He did NOT have a terminal illness....understand that part?

Even if he did he could've CHOSEN not to end his own life....he just wants people to have the choice.
