Mr. McNerney stated that it was unacceptable demands that resulted in Boeing choosing SC over WA as the location for the new plant; sounds like GM vs. the UAW, Part Deux.

Nevertheless, the fact that about half of Boeing's US plants are non-union demolishes the NLRB case, and rest assured that all of the GOP candidates for President will be making frequent visits to Charleston to bash Obama around the clock at this new plant.

Those future visits and tons of speeches will only educate the American electorate even more on why that iron-clad leash which the unions have had around the neck of Obama & his fellow Democrats for decades make it impossible for him to lead the overwhelming majority of Americans who are not union members.

If that's not a blatant 'conflict of interest', then there's no such thing.

Anybody who doesn't believe that the unions destroyed Detroit, with plenty of help from a seemingly endless stream of mayors, many of whom wound up going to the slammer for corruption (sounds like Chicago, come to think of it!!!) needs a history lesson in the worst way possible.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A Republican-led House committee plans to hold a June 17 hearing in South Carolina on a federal board’s suit alleging the Boeing Co. retaliated against Washington state union workers by building an assembly plant in this southern, right-to-work state.
The move by the hard-charging committee chairman, Republican Darrell Issa of California, represents the latest escalation of the fight between the National Labor Relations Board, which now has a majority of Democratic appointees, and Boeing and GOP elected officials.
The state’s new Republican governor, Nikki Haley, has been hammering the Obama administration over the board’s decision to sue Boeing for alleged labor law violations.
The U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government announced Wednesday that the hearing will be held in North Charleston, home to Boeing’s new 787 passenger aircraft assembly line. The committee has requested that NLRB general counsel Lafe Solomon appear at the hearing.

House panel plans hearing on Boeing plant - Washington Times

Thank you to support these workers threatened by Obama's friens.

Unions help spread the wealth.

I'll never understand why poor, uneducated, whites hate their fellow citizen who organizes to provide a better life for his family.
And you do realize the poor people would have to now pay more for the goods and services supplied by the firms held hostage by union workers.

As long as the Democratic Party's beyond asinine 'war against Walmart', anyone who still thinks the democrats represent the little guy are flat-out stupid.

Even organizations which 'allegedly' represent middle-class blacks are siding with unionized teachers over their students; look no farther than a certain organization which i astonishingly suing to block the closure of 24 of NYCs very worst schools.

That shameful organization is the National Association For The Advancement Of Colored People, also known as the NAACP.

Is that reprehensible, or what??????

This war against Boeing, a company every bit as successful as WalMart, is equally repulsive.

This is undoubtedly going to be a superb version of 'Must SEE TV'; get your DVRs ready, America.

Well, they've finished the plant down here and will be officially "open" this Friday. As far as I know, Boeing isn't changing a single thing down here and continuing on with business. Of course, something to note is that the union and NLRB didn't bring this case up for two years, waiting until all the investments had been made and the 175 million dollar plant was already completed. Interesting timing. My personal opinion is that they want the SC plant to go back to being a union shop and are hoping to force them back one way or another since the folks down here voted the union out.

That will be considered hearsay.
