I was not aware of that. Would you please provide some evidence. Please do not mistake my preference for urban living as an endorsement of your viewpoint, as I am a conservative living in the heart of the urban jungle.

This link doesn't support your claim. It says crime has gone down in urban areas and there has been a slight increase in violent crime in the suburbs.

My take on this, from experience, is the gentrification of urban areas explains at least some of the drop in crime in cities.

Why would I want to be stuck in a 300 square foot apartment with noisy neighbors, a stinky hallway, aholes in the building, and pay as much as or more than my mortgage without owning anything in the end... just so I can go to work in a shorter distance? Yeah, I like to based my life around my work and the crappy places I am forced to live in for the liberals pure satisfaction of misery loves company...

To each his own. But I love living in an area where I don't have to drive and the worlds greatest cultural center is outside my door.

Your premise is wrong. I'm a liberal and I don't like living in a high-density area.

Urban "sprawl" is the sign of a prosperous country. Would you prefer we all live in huge apartment blocks designed by Le Corbusier? No thanks.

This is what he wanted for all of us:

I get the impression that you're just making things up to justify your ill-conceived theories about urban "sprawl".
