In his combination of unctuousness, mendacity, mock-reasonableness, petulance, bullying, hypocrisy, overweening arrogance, brazen aggression, self-pity, victimhood, and bogus moral preening, it’s hard to beat Congressman Anthony Weiner. He’s the perfect face of the modern American Left in all its glorious pathology; why anyone takes these people seriously is utterly beyond me, so transparent are they. And yet for some, their sweet nothings continue to resonate.
The majority of those you listed RESIGNED their positions or were removed from office. The DemoRATS will rally around their criminals and force the taxpayers to pay for investigations to TRY to remove them. Rangel, Jefferson, Weiner.... all of them FOUGHT to keep their jobs when they should have turned in the keys to their office on Day 1.
Craig didn't resign, he decided not to seek reelection, something which seemed likely even before that scandal. David Vitter didn't resign.
(BTW, since you are such a stickler, punctuation goes inside the quote marks.)
Uh.....the punctuation mark goes inside quotation marks when the entire sentence is in quotes. When only the end word is in quotes, the period goes outside the quotation marks.
