Sour D, provide your facts.
Also, the American auto industry would not be here if it were not for these loans.
Are you also saying we should have just let these people lose their jobs and lively hood ?
The auto industry has made major hurdles because of these loans. These companies are
still here in America. They would be long gone, if left up to Mitt Romney.

Fox News and a Right-Wing blog !
You know everyone with a brain refers to it as Faux News.
It's just a mouthpiece for Rupert Murdoch. They just spew
what he wants you to hear. Now about those facts...do you
have ANY from a RELIABLE source ?

i knew the howls of 'fox news!' would erupt at the sight of that link of sourD's.

NY times, anyone?

Quote:
Taxpayers are naturally eager for news about bailout repayments. But what neither G.M. nor the Treasury disclosed was that the company simply used other funds held by the Treasury to pay off its original loan.

Neil M. Barofsky, the inspector general overseeing the troubled asset program, revealed this detail when he spoke before the Senate Finance Committee on April 20.

“So it’s good news in that they’re reducing their debt,” Mr. Barofsky said of G.M. But he went on to note that G.M. was using other taxpayer money to make the loan repayment, according to the transcript of his testimony.

It only makes sense that they are going to pay back their loans from the people who buy their cars. That's their business. Would you rather have no American auto industry ? Would you rather have people without jobs ?
Mitt Romney said yes to both of those questions.

They used TAXPAYER money to repay. How do you make the leap to car purchases from that?

Where do you think the taxpayer money came from ? It came from the profits they made on their autos.
