The best we have is Obama and Mitt Romney. What a truly pathetic situation this is and sad nation we've become.

308 million...although you have to admit, the odds for finding legitimately good candidates for political office come down a bit when you start eliminating bible-thumping religious nuts, people whose education didn't get past (or even reach) high school, illegals...

Look at the way we (as a people) treat our leaders.

Obama, IMO is still getting a "pass" from the press however, most have their families and themselves looked and picked apart over and over.

I think anyone smart enough to do the job would never be stupid enough to run.

I agree with Driller 1. The job is not worth the stress for the money.

I could not agree more.
But there are candidates that would serve the people of this nation in a more beneficial manner. However those candidates are suppressed by the establishment because they do not serve it in a beneficial manner.

Thats the best that the two parties give us.

If you really want to change the country, vote independent. Your party will tell you that you are throwing away your vote, or that you're voting for "the other guy" by voting independent, but honestly, have things changed that much between the D and the R?

We treat them as they act- the onus is on the leader to gain our respect and trust.

I trust or respect a minimal number of Democrats or Republicans.
