I suppose that could be correct in some cities but not where I live, we do see a Homosexual couple from time to time but for the most part they hang out in the parks around bathrooms.
I think they were trying to point out that even though the gay and lesbian community is a very smaller percentage, they sure are a very vocal, or some would even say, a "loud" or "the loudest" minority group for their overall size.
There was a recent scientific paper by the National Center for Health Statistics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,
stating the overall percentage of gays and lesbians in the US was 1.4%, but with how "vocal" they are, some would think they make up like 10, 20 or even 30% of the population, when in reality it's less than 1.5%.

You do realize that the OP article said HOUSEHOLDS. 90% of gays don't even live in households. Can't even marry, so why bother. No one said 30%, but I think 10% of LGBT people is probably a correct estimate. And If I'm not mistaken, the census didn't ask for sexual orientation. I didn't know that, but the way they do it is they put down both partners on the census, and by the gender they will know they were gay, thus they will know it's a gay household. Most people didn't know that and didn't do it. I just read about it after the census.

Yes, gays cite figures like 1 in 10 or even as high as the 30% mentioned above, but even in CA where it's legal to marry and there is a lot of "gay pride" (i.e., the people are more likely to admit it in the census or other poll), it's only 1%? This speaks volumes about the hyperbole and false information presented by gays on a regular basis.

A household can be a single person living alone. And what the heck does that mean about if they can't marry, they won't bother living together? I thought love was love and gays do the same things straight people do....

The census didn't ask for it. I thought I had already mentioned that. It's 10%. I already said that

No, those are only the fundamentalist religous people hanging around parks and bathrooms.
