Yeppers, they're still harping on the 57 state gaffe he made.
Wait a minute. weren't we just told nothing is trivial when you are running for President of the United States? Sheesh, you guys need to get together on this.
It's according who gets the votes. Obama did. I would have voted for Hillary if she had won the nomination, hell, she would have probably made a better president.
Find someone who knows the difference between John Wayne and John Wayne Gacy, and we'll talk.
Why the hell can't the GOP find a woman with some basic historical knowledge, or some basic common sense. You guys seem to love to glom onto the talking heads and vapid wonders. Why is that? Oh, yeah, intelligent women scare the pants off you.
Unfortunately the history of the Dem part and woman isn't a pretty one. you can make all the excuses you like as to why the machine didn't want Hillary on 2008 but it is pretty clear to her supporters.
Look your guy doesn't know how many states there are, or if soldiers he is awarding are dead or alive. See that's the doube standard Obama, a man, gets a pass for saying some awefully stupid things, yet Bachmann, a woman, is savaged. You may not see it, but it is a problem for you guys.
You're right. The repubs would never consider an Olympia Snowe, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, Jane Norton, Christie Whitman.....
See, once again, the left sees only gender, not ideology. Similarly oriented men wouldn't win either. Yet Republicans wouldn't call these woman stupid as part of a political strategy. It's not how the Republican party treats woman.

Here is the thing, President Obama wasn't trying to get political gain with his "57 states" statement, which was clearly a gaffe that was a mistake. He corrected himself later, he was tired, thats what happens. Lots of other Presidents and politicians make similar mistakes. Remember Reagan said that trees were the biggest polluters in the world?
What Bachmann has done here is different. She knowingly said that John Wayne was from her hometown trying to garner more support for herself, and she was well rested. Just like her Lexington and Concord being in New Hampshire.

Hey nothing like moving the goal posts, so saying stupid things only count when you are saying them for political gain?
OK, how about awarding he most recent f'up, with the soldier, there is a laundry list of stuff. If the left is going to savage the woman over these type of things, they have to treat the man the same way or it is simply another blemish in their long history of misogyny.
By the way trees do contibute to green house gases.

No, saying stupid things is one thing, saying stupid things on purpose is another.
57 states = mistake
John Wayne born in my hometown = purposeful mistake.

That's absured. It is your contention, she knew it was wrong and said it anyway?
They were both mistakes. If the left wants to continue to play this game they are playing with fire. I was embarassed for Sephanopolus this morning. It was painfully clear he never would question a male candidate the way he questioned Bachmann. Aside from the issue that is really going to sink the Dems (the economy) this issue is going to do long term damage.

Green house gases aren't "pollutants". Anyway, it ain't out of the ordinary to see that you can't differentiate between a goof up and an uneducated response. Do you think Bachmann knew which John Wayne she was talking about? I'm willing to bet that she had no idea that this John Wayne was not THAT John Wayne. And that is fine! It is an honest mistake, but a funny one especially the point that she would love to mimic the guy (a serial killer). And even if she were implied the Hollywoodian, it would still be funny, considering politics does require a bit of acting, doesn't it?
