Very little compared to Obama's reelection campaign slush fund.

It helps that Canada does not have 10-12 million illegal immigrants. That would be equal to about 1/3 of its population.

Tell you what. Let Canada have the border with Mexico for the next decade. Then we can revisit this question.

Canadian banks are notoriously tight fisted when you seek a loan or a mortgage. I have a little book that describes life in small town Canada and this little burgh has banks named the Scroogeya Bank and the Bank of Nocandu.

Because they aren't cursed with right-wing talk radio, Faux News, and a group of people calling themselves the 'tea party', that rile the large minority of lower class white people into believing that the reason they are living in trailer parks is because of the gov't not giving enough money and breaks to rich people & corporations...????

You hit the nail on the head, the lack of cheap labor that keeps prices down is exactly what is keeping Canada up there!

Oh my! Do we have to go through this again with delusional leftists? When evaluating the impact of one event upon another, there is a variety of statistical evaluations that show lack or presence of statistical significance for the proposed question. Anecdotes and random associations do not constitute cause and effect (except if one is a liberal and devoid of reason).

Perhaps the success of Canada is perhaps related to their development of natural resources and energy (which has been prevented in the US under Obama) and their relative smaller national debt relative to GDP? Perhaps, just perhaps, that is the real answer for the relative performance of Canada to the US in the last six years.

Liberalism is the ineffective defense of lunacy.
