I saw that interview! He was Meet the Press, right?

Pawlenty is so pathetic when he tries to act tough. I think Michelle would kick his ass in a fight. Hell, I think Marcus could kick his ass!

In general, Minnesotans aren't good at being mean to other people - at least not openly. Being nice to others is heavily ingrained in Minnesota culture.
