Seems republicans want to cut the money for security at all embassies well before the attack but now complain that security was shorted. Talk about hypocrisy.

No, it's very simple. They voted to cut funding. It was up to the State Department to determine the security needs at each specific place. With funding cuts, the smart thing to do is reduce at places that are safe and not at places like Libya. In addition, they didn't mention cuts as the reason the chose to reduce security in Libya; they said it was to "normalize relations."

It appears this is the talking point that is being distributed because I've seen swooners sqealing this all over threads about the embassies. I guess they think this gets Obama off the hook. His green agenda apparently was more important than security at embassies. Pathetic.

The State Dept didn't put extra security in Libya because they wanted to come across as FRIENDS.
It was up to the State Dept to determine where to place their security.

The GOP did nothing by themselves. It was up to the State Dept to determine where to cut.

The finger pointing and excuses and lies is totally unbelievable coming from this administration and the MSM.

The US was the last embassy left open in Libya. Every other country pulled out because of the violence. What do we do? Reduce security there.

Well, of course they did...they want to cut cut cut so that when something bad happens due to cuts they can blame Obama.....it's a great plan and DOPES fall for it and back it.

In a nearby city the residents got tax cuts.....so now they have to pay a "fee" for streetlights.....don't pay-no streetlights- get raped or mugged-too bad!!!!!

I don't think the security debate is as big an issue as the cover up.. I can handle someone telling me they screwed up or misjudged something but to lie to me.. i don't get that.. if they lie about this, what else are they lying about???

Incredible. This incident demonstrates the administration's policy and reveals the flaws. We reduced our forces there to look like friends and were greeted with an RPG.

The GOP cut approx. $500 million from the Department of State request for security. That's what I'm recalling.
