Meanwhile, President Raul Castro of Cuba has been in Venezuela, a principal ally and source of vital economic assistance, where radical President Hugo Chavez reconfirmed close partnership while denouncing Uncle Sam with his usual incendiary language. In particular, he has threatened to torpedo any concluding communiqué from the summit to protest exclusion of Cuba.

A Securities and Exchange Commission complaint says a "senior executive" of Mr. Rattner's investment firm met in 2004 with a politically connected consultant about a finder's fee. Later, the complaint says, the firm received an investment from the state pension fund and paid $1.1 million in fees.

Michael Hayden, who led the CIA under George W. Bush, said CIA officers will now be more timid and allies will be more reluctant to share sensitive intelligence.
"If you want an intelligence service to work for you, they always work on the edge. That's just where they work," Hayden said. Now, he argued, foreign partners will be less likely to cooperate with the CIA because the release shows they "can't keep anything secret."

In December 2007, Sen. Barack Obama’s reassurances to the Boston Globe suggested that he understood constitutional limits on executive and government power. He knew that there were things the “president does not have power under the Constitution” to do, including unilaterally authorizing military action and surveilling citizens without warrants. He said he would “reject the Bush administration’s claim that the president has plenary authority under the Constitution to detain U.S. citizens without charges as unlawful enemy combatants.”

And according to liberals now you're racist if you feel a need to protest. Normally this stuff wouldn't be such a big deal, typical liberal dogma. There is actually a campaign though the MSM to discredit normal everyday Americans. Republicans, democrats and independents were all at those tea parties, in fact a million people. This is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up. That is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks.”

Hmmm...a little graspng for straws never hurt, I guess. Maybe some liberal will start an equivalent. Of course, for space reasons, it would have to be called The Past Hour in Right-Wing Stupidity...

What would be great is if just one liberal could defend any of these events, gaffs, etc.. At least then there would be something to talk about. But alas, they can't, so they make dumb remarks attempting to deflect rather than defend. I'll just wait for the next deflection.

How many loans has Cuba defaulted on? How many regimes are being funded by the clearly transparent dictator of Venezuela (how many democratically elected officials are being stifled there?). Who has created the most czar positions in the history of the united states? Who has a budget set to add more debt to the nation than all presidents combined? What country just sentenced an quasi America to 8 years on treason? Who does Obama want to reach out to? I wish it was just being naive, then he'd still have a Jimmy Carter type persona to fall back on, not this Chicago thug.

I didn't touch on utter stupidity coming from the left about the tea parties. You have to give props to Susan Roesgen for being honest about her obscene bias and utter stupidity.

You should have seen Summers squirming his way around the actual details of the meeting very diplomatically.

The Daily Show singled Roesgen out for special ridicule (http://www.hulu.com/watch/65283/the-daily-show-with-jon-stewart-mon-mar-30-2009 - broken link) for her desperate attempts to make herself part of the story when she was covering the floods in Fargo. Note to CNN: Take Roesgen out behind the woodshed and mercifully ablate her career before she embarasses you any further.

A protester wearing a George W. Bush mask, complete with a colored in Hitler-esque mustache and red horns attached to the forehead was deemed a Bush "look-alike" by reporter Susan Roesgen ... It was then that the demonstrator wearing the Bush mask was highlighted on camera, while Roesgen narrated, "But while a look-alike showed up with a wad of cash, Mr. Bush did not." The "wad of cash" in the demonstrator's hand was actually several phony dollar bills mocking the Bush administration.

Why would they care? All this has been what they're waiting for.

I can't even explain how disgusted and disappointed I am regarding the people in those photos. The ones using their children to further their own cause, the ones who were holding obviously racist signs, the ones who obviously have no idea what is going on in our government but are just using catch phrase slogans that they saw on the internet or tv.

They say this wasn't 'anti-obama' or 'ant-liberal' or 'anti democrat'? Bull*****. Bull***** a thousand times over. I would have gone to my old towns 'tea party' but as I predicted, the cops were called because the crowd moved into the street, impeded traffic and starting breaking things. Who knew? They had the chance to protest peaceably, make signs that didn't overtly offend, weren't racist etc etc but they chose instead to hold up signs that said 'Impeach Obama' and 'Obama is a baby killer'.

Way to show the rest of the world how unintelligent we really are.

This much heralded protest impressed me as a bunch of fat ass fools protesting policies that will actually help them. Wonderful case of belief over fact. I'm pleased the so few actually showed up. maybe the people of America are not so stupid after all.

Where the hell have you been ?! The American People collectively have become progressively unintelligent over the last century when it comes to Gov. The rest of the world already know that... No new news there ! It's that so called intelligent majority of American people today that still don't ! They're so intelligent they don't realize how dumb they really are...

Racist aside, just like anarchist they always show up. But I don't suppose you see parties like the new black panther and those wackaloons who supported the cop killer as a hero as the "fringe".
