Obama is getting resistance from Congress regarding his war efforts in Libya, so he has chosen another way to overthrow Moammar Gadhafi, just formally recognize one of Gadhafi's opposition groups.
(The United States formally recognized the)... Transitional National Council as the legitimate governing authority of the Libyan people. Diplomatic recognition of the council means that the U.S. will be able to fund the opposition with some of the more than $30 billion in Gahdafi-regime assets that are frozen in American banks.

Obama knows how to get what he personally wants without having the Congress interfere.

Why do you want to take the money of hard working Americans and give it to Libyans?

I'm glad you added "for now" to your post fb.

Our friends today typically turn into our enemies tomorrow.
And that's after we've trained them and stocked them with weapons and filled their coffers with money.

Do you think we'll EVER LEARN as a country to butt out of other country's business ?

Seems that I remember liberals beating their little chests about Iraq and "unjustified wars".

Please explain why America is fighting/supporting the overthrow of established governments in the Middle East,...namely Egypt and Libya,...and FORMALLY recognizing a splinter group in Libya as the "official" government.

Previous administrations went through Congress for authorization to enter combat operations. Not so with Barack,...he does what he damned well pleases.

Why have a Constitution if a defacto King is in command?

He must be reviewing Reagan's playbook.

Oh, wait... no, that would involve selling military weaponry to a nation that has vowed to destroy the United States [ie, Iran], then illegally funnelling the proceeds to rebels [ie, the Contras, who Reagan buffoonishly claimed were the 'moral equivalent' of the Founding Fathers] in direct violation of U.S. Law [ie, the Boland Amendment], then falsely claiming that it never happened, only to change that claim to one of being clueless that it happened.

Knock, knock. The DEMS are in charge now.
And this one is truly an unjustified, illegal war as Congress has NOT authorized this.

And no Dems seem to be upset like they were with Bush.

The 'for now' is in reference to waiting for the establishment of a legitimate Govt when Gaddafi is out.

Hey,...if you can't justify Obozo's actions,...that's OK. Instead of addressing the question just keep on deflecting attention away from Barack and his goons.

This administration has supported the overthrow of regimes in both Egypt and Libya,...and has presumably violated the War Powers Act in regard to Libya. NONE on the left seems to mind. Where is the outcry about "WARS?" and "UNJUSTIFIED REGIME CHANGE" from the left?

Oh,...I forgot,....Barack is the left's Messiah,...He can do no wrong.
