Well, not according to the distributors and the theaters.

In fact, they've said it made a very good showing, selling out some theaters, which is excellent considering the limited venues, limited marketing and it's a documentary.

The Left just can't stand it...their little scheme to create a "headline" backfired.

In four markets — Phoenix, Atlanta, Denver and Indianapolis — the film was moved to a bigger room to accommodate crowds, and several showings were sold out, the distributor said.

One independent film analyst told POLITICO that for a little-advertised documentary with a very limited release, “The Undefeated” did quite well.

“In the most basic sense, anytime a documentary is selling out screens in a movie theater, it’s already successful,” said Phil Contrino, editor of Boxoffice.com.
Who to believe? Avowed Palin haters...or objective reporting?

Sarah Palin Documentary

Sarah Palin film to get wider release - Molly Ball - POLITICO.com

Repeat, it wasn't Denver, it was the very conservative Highlands Ranch. It was ONE theater that sold out, and given the size of some theaters these days, that wouldn't take too many people.

The film opened in 10 mid-sized cities Friday and grossed about $70,000 for the weekend for a per-screen average of about $5,000, the distributor reported. Based on average U.S. ticket prices, that works out to a very rough estimate of less than 9,000 people paying to see “The Undefeated” in its first weekend.

Well it is up against Harry Potter and 100 plus heat in a lot of areas. Good showing for that competition and handicap.

So they can play it in bigger empty movie houses?

I think the better title for the movie should have been "The Ignored Wingnut".
The movie should have opened at a Drive-in. All rows would have been full and walking between cars one would hear the moans and the sounds of slapping skin.

It would be rated X for language. The movie maker plays all the insults Palin has had thrown at her since she became a public figure. They can't even play that portion in some theatres.

I know Palin is a great looking woman but I don't think she would turn men on like that. Geesh. Maybe you know something I don't from personal experience.

Isn't this the "documentary" made by a person who said he wanted to destroy her?
