The first thing people knew about him was his facebook page which described him as Christian. It didn't say Atheist. Jesus, even the Norwegian police called him a radical Christian fundamentalist. This whole thread is BS and shows that some Americans only care about themselves and their "Christian" reputation when nothing Americans do resembles Christianity.
