What does a 'conservative christian' mean in Norway? Anyone with knowledge about this?
Also, what does the anti-islamic stance have to do with attacking his own people or the political party? I am not sure of the relevence of this - anyone understand Norway's politics?
I do not think his religious view is that important, at least not here in Norway. The media are focusing on his political and idelogical views. I have read some of the comments he posted online. He is definitely critical of multiculturalism.

Someone his age and politically conservative as well as self proclaimed christan is a minority. Urge attacks however will not have been motivated by his religion, that would be highly unlikely.
The relevance is that the labor party its central left, the killer, with his anti islamic views was far right. The Labor party favors and promoted and open and inclusive society where everyone, regardless of religion has equal say and rights. The person in question was of the belief that such coexistence was impossible. Though no motive has ben reported as of yet, they're can be little question about the political motivations here, his stance on islam and islam I'm norway plays a part in that.
I'm going to bed now, and still likely not post until tomorrow.hopefully well know more then, and I hope the death tally doesn't go up too much.

Must have been a very frustrated and somewhat looney person to be taking that out on kids - 80 the last I heard - so sad.
Probably hiding in the same place as all the rabid left wingers who automatically assumed the Tuscon shooter was a right winger.
