Disney, which is a gay-friendly corporation as far as their employees and their rights, would not allow it either.

These women knew it would provoke a reaction and that was their intention. We aren't stupid.

HersheyPark has a similar dress code: Nothing that can be perceived as offensive.

(and no, "Jesus" references are not offensive to the vast majority of the U.S., let alone the clientele that Hershey and Dollywood have, before anyone tries that one)

(I assure you that a "Non-Christians Are Going to Hell" t-shirt would absolutely be offensive and disallowed)

What I find most galling in this article is their e-mail asking Dollywood to
"implement policies that are inclusive of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people; conduct staff sensitivity training; and issue a public statement indicating that the park is inclusive of all families."

Not just complaining about the policy, but telling them what to do and how to do it.

How interesting when a special interest group tries to tell a business how to..well, conduct their business.
It's not like that shirt had anything obscene on it, just a simple phrase. Dolly Parton always incoporates drag queen comments in her concerts. I hope that she is as tolerant and accepting as her persona. I'm sure (or at least think) that she has lots of gay friends and is a good person.
If a kid saw the shirt and asked, "what is gay?", I would just say that it means "happy", its original meaning.

So you would lie just so you could continue to ram your agenda down on everyone else? Why do homosexuals complain about everything imaginable? Is it part of being gay? Is it something uncontrollable?

why would you call it an "agenda"? She just wore a shirt that had the word "gay" on it. It's not like that she wore a shirt with a phallus/vagina nor an offensive term. If the child doesn't know what "gay" is or too young, they don't have to know at that age.
Since the phrase itself is a double entendre, it's not really a lie after all.
The patron has a right to wear what she wants since it wasn't offensive in the first place.

Well maybe that's how the rest of us think when we have to endure Jesus stickers on the back of cars, or people who run around with "NoBama" stickers on their car.

Is there something about being religious or Republican that makes people complain about everything and ram their agenda down everyone else's throat?

OR, should I assume the responsibilities of being an ADULT in a free society where we have freedom of speech and realize that I will, on occasion, have to put up with people professing ideas or points of view I don't necessarily believe in?

What kind of nonsense have you been gulping down? People have every right to put whatever bumber sticker they want to on their OWN property. You DO NOT have the right to break the rules at a place of business just because you want to, gay or not. Homosexuals have to follow the rules of any given place at any given time just like the rest of society does, no free passes here.

It's an agenda as soon as they opened their mouths about the rules. They should have just shut up and turned the damn shirt inside out like everyone else is expected to do.

Perhaps what they prefer is to not have people wearing this T-shirt come to their private business. They can do the same with christian t-shirts if they choosealso and others.
