I constantly amazed that a "disaster" that exploded in 2008 is the result of any policy or action by Obama or liberals for that matter, and I be damned to understand how a single conservative non-policy is going to correct the current situation.

As for leaving the country... politics aside I have never ruled out leaving the country. Having traveled around the world I can think of dozens of other places where I would be just as happy and fulfilled as living the U.S. Personally, I find nothing particularly exceptional about the U.S. other than the fact that i was born here. In fact I find to to be becoming less exceptional every passing day.

wrong....fascism which stems from socialism is a branch of marxism and progressivism

look at the history

liberals want high taxes and heavy stiffling regulations.....

now let's look at fascism:

""Fascism is a system in which the government leaves nominal ownership of the means of production in the hands of private individuals but exercises control by means of regulatory legislation and reaps most of the profit by means of heavy taxation. In effect, fascism is simply a more subtle form of government ownership than is socialism."" Mussolini

At least under Bush there was an intact Legislative Branch of Government with a Full House of Representaives and a Senate. Now that is out the window with this new 13 member "Super Congress" drawing up all the legislation and having the rest of Congress only be able to vote "Yes" or "NO"!

I hope you have truckloads full of cash because as soon as you try to exchange it for any other currency you'll see how little you get. I watched an HGTV show the other day and it was going to take $400k American Dollars to buy some old two bedroom one bathroom apt in Rio de Janiero that was going to need total gutting with a new kitchen and bath put in. It may have even been taped a few years ago which may mean to buy the same place today might cost $600k. In fact at the end of the show they said the deal had fallen through and the guy was renting this tiny apartment.

Yep. Now our government is run like the EU is in Brussels. In the EU, a politburo writes up legislation, and the EU MPs just vote yay or nay on it. In fact, this is how it was done in the USSR as well

If United States fails, the rest of the world will follow. Where can one go, really?

Maybe Norway. I can closely identify with the Progress Party there (which is actually libertarian, despite the name) The Czech Republic is quite conservative as well, one of the only places I know of with lax gun laws.

But unless something crazy happens, there is no way I'd permanently leave the US.

Typical liberals. Crap things up through bad policies and then head for the hills when the poop hits the fan. Just look at all of the liberals leaving the high tax states in the Northeast and moving to Southern states in droves. What is their main complaint? Overtaxation. And when they get to the South they complain that there aren't enough social services.

I don't plan to leave the US ever. As bad as things are, there is no other place I would rather be living.
