Huge anti-government protests in Israel are barely a blip on U.S news outlets. Very curious??

RT have been following the developments:

And also had a very interesting perspective on why this story was buried:

Israel

Buried in HuffPo and WSJ.

Just like the article said. Israel is not seen as being "Middle East" in the form of Islamic uprisings or uprisings against an Islamic state because it is Western in ideals despite its location. Israel is only Middle East when discussing the Arab- Israeli conflict. Plus, like the article said, these protests have not been violent. The protests in Tel Aviv could easily be happening in Washington, D.C. or Los Angeles because it isn't violent by the Middle East sense of the word and it is a Western nation.

Of course it is. These aren't anti-government protests, they are protests for rent control. They want the gov't to force landlords to cut rent charges. Its a supply and demand issue. These people want to live in the big city and pay suburb prices.

Israel has half the population of the L.A Metropolitan area, who cares?

It goes beyond that. The protestors want to end the housing policies that push the poor onto the settlements, and which are inefficient and illegal. They also want to close the government sponsored Orthodox yeshivas which turn out generations of ignorant, criminal minded parasites who suck off the productive element of Israeli society, are taught hate at taxpayer expense, and force the Israeli taxpayer to subsidize destructive hate speech by ultra-Orthodox dirtbags. In addition, they are against crony capitalism and corporate welfare.

They are demanding social justice, social rights. Socailism has reached Israel. How did we get from individual rights, to civil rights, and now social rights?
All this time, I thought their biggest problem was staying alive.

The latest aticle comes from the UK
Israelis plan million-strong march as protesters call for social justice | World news | The Guardian
The committee set up by Netanyahu was ordered to report within a month. "It is impossible to ignore the voices coming from the public," the prime minister said in a lengthy statement. Israel's economy was strong, but "we know that we must make the internal corrections ... social corrections, with sensitivity".
He added: "We will listen to everyone. We will speak with everyone." However, Netanyahu has so far refused to meet a delegation from the tent protesters.

More like it's returned to Israel. Israel was created to be socialist as much as it was created to be Jewish. Most Israelis oppose free market capitalism. The US taxpayer pays for their universal health care.

The Mass media isn't known as "infotainment" for nothing. The stories they hype are the ones that sell, not the ones that inform.

Some headliners right now on CNN: "Music soothes pain in cancer patients", "10 reasons to love college football", "Undercover cops set up online sting dates". Obviously this stuff is far more important than massive protests in Israel.
