First off polls are less than worthless, one can get a poll to say anything you want by employing simple methods of polling and wording. Or didn't you know that? That said, you ASSUME they are only referring to the President, typical right-wing thinking, and almost always wrong.

Don't forget WHO is being polled and where. This also makes a big difference.

BTW do you personally know anyone who was ever polled?

Yes, I know of one person that was polled twice, he must have said something they liked, but that does not sound very random.
