I'm wondering what the margin for error in this poll is...

H (left of center left and fairly certain that that is a minority viewpoint here)

It could be left leaning but the "loudest" ones on this site are clearly right leaning. Hard.

My theory is that our politics, especially on CD, is predicated on what we oppose much more than what we favor. Any Obama thread is going to be dominated by anti-Obama sentiments, and any Palin thread is likewise going to be dominated by Palin-haters.

I searched for the threads with 'Obama,' 'Limbaugh,' and 'Palin' in the thread titles, and checked for average number of posts for the first page of threads that came up. The Obama threads averaged 27 posts. The Limbaugh threads averaged 80 posts, and the Palin threads, 75 posts. And that's with several lefty trolls MIA for the past week or so. (too many personal attack infractions?)

Conclusion: the board leans left, at least in terms of quantity, not necessarily quality.

Definitely left wing extreme left wing

Well maybe we should send you to Washington D.C. because none of them read the HC law before they passed it and what outlandish proposals are you talking about? Reproduction rights? The Republican War on women ?

Well Obama has that already covered just read what his Health and Science Czar JOHN HOLDREN says about POPULATION CONTROL and get a clue ....

This forum (speaking exclusively of P&oC, not C-D overall) has the most crackpot rightwing posters I've encountered in any forum I frequent. I rarely - and I really mean rarely - have met people in real life who have voiced opinions anywhere near as racist, or nutty, or paranoid, or nonsensical, as things I read daily on P&oC.

I haven't seen a similar preponderance of nutty leftist posters. There are few avowed socialists, I don't think I've seen self-identified communists, I haven't seen environmentalists calling for spiking trees or death to polluters, haven't seen calls for the total abolition of private property, elimination of all private motor vehicles, calls to end all meat consumption, etc.

The hard-right "flavor" is leavened by a good number of people who demonstrate humanity, logic, and sensibility. Most of these have views that get called "liberal" by the extreme right here, even though some of them say they are not liberal. Some of them actually are liberals of various degrees. There are a small number of Republicans who I think are very decent posters and I really appreciate their participation. There are some posters whom I'm sure I'd have disagreements with if we debated in person, but could respect the way they voice their opinions and get along well with them. I absolutely cannot respect several frequent posters here, though. It appears that quite a few of the "regulars" who were even-keeled have dropped off over the past year or so that I've been heavily involved in posting here.

The forum is mostly a load of moronic 'democrats' squabbling with a slightly smaller load of moronic 'republicans' over non-issues and being totally ignorant of the bigger picture. The actual difference between 99% of the Democrat party and 99% of the Republican party are so small as to be immaterial.

Agreed. That has been my observation also.

I haven't seen
Well, that is easily explained, and the reason we have secret ballots. Many times the most vocal, are not the most, overall. Some people are just louder than others. Most believe what they will and just don't feel the need to tell everyone their business. Political Correctness (new word for peer pressure, or censorship) is rampent now.

People out in public may say something (and even vote in a Poll one way) but, when their vote counts (and no one else can see who they are), they vote how they really believe.

The polls showed the Democrats would win in 2000 and 2004 in the Presidential elections but they did not.

This poll would be voted differently if it was anonymous too.
