We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino's association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image. We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans.
We have therefore offered a substantial payment to Michael 'The Situation' Sorrentino and the producers of MTV's The Jersey Shore to have the character wear an alternate brand. We have also extended this offer to other members of the cast, and are urgently waiting a response.
Some see this as refreshing, a slam on the reality-TV crew,
but I think it's disgusting that overpaid, spoiled brats are being offered money yet again
for doing nothing.
How about you offer "a substantial payment" to your employees?
Or back into your product, lowering prices for consumers?
Or to a worthy charity?
A&F has seen the last of my wallet, but I'm sure that's inconsequential.
Did you just admit you actually shopped at this joint? Bwahahaha
Seriously..paying 100% markup on what are basically Old Navy clothes because they are "cool" with the upper middle class high school crowd makes no sense to me.
Same fabrics, made in the same sweat shops, different labels, more advertizing in youth oriented magazines.

This is why I always get a chuckle out of the Wal-Mart bashing threads. EVERYONE is selling cheap goods from China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Vietnam, etc... but somehow, it's old Wally World that garners all the criticism.
They are probably doing this for one reason only: Publicity
