Limbaugh is paid big bucks to spew outrageous insults. His angry, aging, uncritical audience demands it. If he started to actually analyze events or apply logic to his broadcasts, his market share would plummet.
No one should act as though he's anything but a hyperpartisan tool. Any of his followers who consider him to be a newsman or source of information are delusional. His listeners who tune in for their daily dose of hate to confirm their prejudices understand what he's about.
