A republican who addresses man made Global warming and advocates cap n' trade. Much like Obama's health care overhaul, we see a resurgence of something once advocated by the Republicans in today's legislation. Of course most of their zealots are completely unaware of this, only in tune with the latest GOP talking points du jour and totally out of touch with the history of their own party.
They'll deny it, but this clearly shows their disingenuous "beliefs" when protesting anything Obama may put forth. They're not opposed to the principle, only the man. In fact they have no principles what-so-ever, only marching orders from right wing blogs and various media outlets, which they follow with glee and without thought. Totally oblivious to their hypocrisy and even when it's pointed out they brush it off, because it would require them to self examine their core beliefs and principles. Worse yet it would require them to examine their own party who spoon feeds them this inane doubletalk.
Lets take a look shall we. Here Bush advocates cap n' trade as a means to address both pollution and climate change caused by man. He touts the success of cap n' trade from the 90's as well:
Quote:
The clean skies legislation will reach our ambitious air quality goals through a market-based cap-and-trade approach that rewards innovation, reduces cost and guarantees results. Instead of the government telling utilities where and how to cut pollution, we will tell them when and how much to cut. We will give them a firm deadline and let them find the most innovative ways to meet it. You see, since 1995 we have used a cap-and-trade programmeme for sulphur dioxide pollution. It has cut more air pollution, this system has reduced more air pollution in the last decade than all other programmes combined.
Bush, remember the President all the Neo Cons claim "They Miss" and wish could come back, goes on to recommit to the UN's goal. Ultimately proposing 4.5 BILLION or "more than any other nation's commitment in the entire world."
Quote:
I reaffirm America's commitment to the United Nations Framework Convention and it's central goal, to stabilize atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations at a level that will prevent dangerous human interference with the climate.
There are no core beliefs in the Republican party today, only obstruction and hypocrisy of the highest order.
I never forgot. And you conveniently forget that Bush decided to "believe" in global warming right at the end of his term. The only people who believe in global warming are globalists hellbent on uniting the world under the UN flag, and the progressives who think it's all about the environment when CO2 contributes NOTHING to global temperature since CO2 increases lag behind temperature increases.
I guess you're getting tired of trying to defend Obama so you have to dig up old news eh?
This isn't old news, in fact it's quiet new and addresses current events. It has little to do with Bush and everything to do with the complete and utter hypocrisy on the right in regards to their "beliefs."

So far nobody can address this, why is that? Instead I see insults, and deflection. C'mon now, lets talk. Why are the republicans always up in arms over legislation or ideals they were advocating only years prior?

I agree, it is quiet new, it's so quiet hardly anyone heard it.
Please tell us the point.
