Republicans have decided they're not going to give a rebuttal to President Obama's jobs speech later this week, a decision House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi took as a high affront to the White House.
I'm sure Boehner is thinking pretty much what the rest of the country is thinking. A complete waste of time and just more of the same failed policies.
Boehner once again outmaneuvers obama in his petty, childish, political games.
This indicates the speech obama will give is not even WORTH a response.
And besides, why continue to anger all those NFL fans sitting down to watch the pre-game show who were so rudely interrupted by obama?
What are they going to say? Cut spending to the bone, cut taxes on the richest Americans and abolish Social Security and Medicare? If that's your platform, I can see why you wouldn't take the opportunity to present it to the American public.

Skippy's in campaign mode--he wants to present something that will be hopey-changey. His goal will be to suggest that if you oppose it, you are anti-American. Boehner is smart to realize he's going to be painted into a corner here and he doesn't have much to gain from a public response.

I agree with you except I would call it hopey-dopey instead of hopey-changey.
Regardless of my leanings, if my congressman didn't show merely because he didn't want to, i would be POed. That's what he or she gets paid for. As far as the rebutle.. matters not, i typical don't hang around long enough to hear any rebutles anyway.
