I don't see the big deal. The accusation fell flat, IMO.
I agree. The accusation was that a company Romney hired to do landscape work employed illegal aliens, even though Romney demanded documented workers only. That's a fair bit different than directly hiring illegal aliens yourself.
Perry ought to be careful about making such tangential accusations. I venture to guess it would be damn near impossible to have lived in Texas your entire life and not have patronized a business (or two, or ten, or a hundred) that had one or more illegal aliens on staff.
We've learned that having friends like Ayers/Dorn is not a deterrent from getting elected. So having a landscaping company that has an illegal mowing a lawn shouldn't be a problem. Right liberals?

Yes.
[both sides have their fingerprints all over the knife that stabbed America in the back]
And i see no big deal with this. Tell construction workers, landscapers, etc, to stop hiring illegals, tell them, they are the ones who have no problem with this. Unless you ask sometimes you don't know who is legal and who isn't. And news for you guys, do you know how many even of you on here, hire illegals, but won't admit it, to save that buck. Or you think they are Mexican Americans born here. Unless you ask or want to see papers, you will never know.
The Romney "illegal" thing is years old, although his rebuttal has Mac sized holes in it. Perry is reaching, and Ricardo should be careful about the rocks he throws regarding illegals.
And it's easy to see if you're hiring documented or illegal or "suspect" workers for jobs around your home. It's as easy as $24.99/per background check for each person submitted for a cursory check & $49.99 for a really deep background and in-depth research history.
if it's not big deal, why Romney was getting so angry (and vulgar as well with Rick Perry)
