LightSquared plans to provide high-speed wholesale wireless service nationwide through a network of satellites and land-based cell towers, but tests earlier this year revealed it interferes with GPS devices, including those used by the military.
One of the major investors in LightSquared is prominent Democratic donor, Philip Falcone.

In this LightSquared scandal, General William Shelton was asked by the Office of Management and Budget — an arm of the White House — to change his testimony. Even more damaging, OMB shared the general’s testimony with LightSquared.
LightSquared employs an army of eight high-powered lobbying firms, including one headed by former Democratic House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt. In 2011 alone, LightSquared spent $720,000 on lobbyists.

At least we know why Obama was saying "Pass this Bill NOW!" This bill pays back the huge donor to Obama who is a major investor in Lightsquared. It hands them a nice juicy contract in the "jobs bill" where the taxpayers fund this company to install a nationwide wireless network.
This corruption with lightsquared has legs and along with Solyndra, is likely only the tip of the iceburg. What in the world was the OMB thinking pressuring a four star General to change his testimony and sharing his testimony in advance with Lightsquared?
Did they really expect him to place national secuity at risk? Really? Or did they think they could buy him later?

This stinks to high heaven, definitely. Just like the last stimulus bill was packaged 95% the same exact way as this one. Oh this new stimulus will create needed infrastructure jobs (cleverly left out shovel ready), save the teachers, firemen, and police. Yeah, I thought the last one was supposed to do the same thing? Sure, turns out most of the money went to bail out his buddies in New York City., London, and other places
