A few hundred years ago Greenland was a settled land, where animals grazed and people lived off the land, and then it froze up. All w/o man-made global warming.

That statement alone proves to me that it's not worth arguing with you. You are ignorant of the science. None of the continents were in the same place in the past, and climates all over the world were different. The fact that polar continents were at one time near the equator has nothing to do with Quaternary climate change.

can we agree that in the middle ages the vikings were growing wheat in Greenland and Iceland? since it is an historical fact?

So where was continent of Greenland, a few hundred years ago, when trees grew there and the vikings thrived there?

First, let's address Iceland, since you are obviously not aware. Iceland isn't covered in ice. Yes, people were able to grow crops for a few hundred years on the coast of Greenland, where the average temperatures in the summer were a balmy 50 degrees. In the winters, when everything froze over, people died. Sounds like a great place to farm!

If you actually care about the subject, educate yourself. You can't possibly hope to understand something as complicated as global climate when you have no basic knowledge of earth science.

See my above response to the other science-ignorant poster. Educate yourself, if you care about the subject.

What? Just incredible. Tornadic activity is LOW.

Overview of conditions
On September 9, 2011 sea ice extent dropped to 4.33 million square kilometers (1.67 million square miles). This appears to have been the lowest extent of the year, and may mark the point when sea ice begins its cold-season cycle of growth. However, a shift in wind patterns or late season melt could still push the ice extent lower.
See, it's summer there. You know, when it's hot? See, this happens every year, it's called the seasons. When it's warm, the ice retreats, when it's cold, the ice expands.....I assume you knew this?

I wonder if you've EVER bothered to compare the difference.

Gosh, DO yourself a favor, look here......and go back decades if you like.

Polar Sea Ice Cap and Snow - Cryosphere Today

Here, maybe this will help you understand the natural cycles.

Understanding Earth Science is really difficult. Repeating anti Gore remarks in a snarky manner is fun. Guess what these guys do?

I have studied the Norse culture for the last 40 years

from 900ad to the 15th century (1400's) the Norse and Dorset culture THRIVED, until a little ice age covered Greenland
