Nice to see something from ANY party thats positive news for a change.
He's a physician. He took an oath and it is second nature for a doctor in the house to respond to an emergency. What does this have to do with his voting record on legislature, lobbyists and any other part of his Congressional responsibilities and loyalties?????
BTW...not taking away credit for his actions, but unfortunately, the party that he is a member of has forgotten the first responders of 911 and kicked them to the curb under the guise of budget cuts. Were their actions not noble enough to warrant loyalty and regard?

Isn;t that true of most people though? I'd try and help anyone in an emergency situation even to the point of risking my life unless the situation was hopeless. You always here stories of everyday heroes just passing by doing extraordinary things. Certainly it's preferable to have someone qualified to handle such situations and I would hope anyone in that situation that knows what to do would step up.

The city announced earlier this week that due to security and space issues, there would be no room for the first responders. Instead, they'll be invited to a private ceremony on a different date.
Since when was NYC under GOP control
