Why is it that Conservatives always find these small but highly effective programs to complain about. A few months ago it was school lunches now it is fighting Malaria and Tuberculous. You know that this spending will likely save hundreds of thousands of lives? Yet you all complain. You complain about this while you don't mention a word about how the GOP opposes eliminating hundreds of billions in pentagon waste. Y'all need to get your priorities straight.

Do you want to have a conversation or do you want to be stupid. Malaria and Tuberculosis are diseases that can be treated and prevented easily, yet they are a major problem particularly in the developing world, because of lack of resources to procure vaccines and treatment. 1.8 Million people die of TB alone, and it has a vaccine for heaven sake. That is why this program would save so many lives.
As to the pentagon, Gates wants it, the President wants it while the GOP, despite there concern trolling about the deficit, opposes eliminating such waste. Furthermore since when is the military supposed to be a jobs program. If you put all the waste towards projects like rebuilding bridges you could probably employ 10 times the people and do something that will actually prove useful.

Did you read that article. GAtes made those cuts on his own to try and avoid a blanket reduction from congress. At least somebody in DC is acting somewhat responsible.

Yes that explains why their are well documented cases of notable Romans dying of the the disease 2000 years ago. Malaria DNA has been found at ancient Roman sites.
