If those who steal other people's lands can pick themselves a fancy name from the old testament and run an illegitimate country, why not Palestine, the actual people of the soil
Did they steal those lands or win them? Every time they give any land back they are promptly rocketed for doing so. The Jews are the ancients of the land, historically.
The BRIC are the future? They are the future to a polluted northern hemisphere and will soon be starving for resources. They are emerging markets making decisions much like a child would. When the Palestinians act like a state, rather than promoting state-sponsored terrorism, only then should they talk about being recognized.

Good point! I'd also add that over 120 countries recognize Israel as a sovereign country. It's only the Arab countries (and Iran) who refuse to.
Another sexist, homophobic, anti-Semitic, backwards Muslim ministate filled with people who actively hate western ideals like freedom of religion, press and assembly.
After all, why did Abbas go to the U.N. last week? For nearly half a century, the United States has pursued a Middle East settlement on the basis of the formula of land for peace. Land for peace produced the Israel-Egypt peace of 1979 and the Israel-Jordan peace of 1994. Israel has offered the Palestinians land for peace three times since. And been refused every time. Why? For exactly the same reason Abbas went to the U.N. last week: to get land without peace. Sovereignty with no reciprocal recognition of a Jewish state. Statehood without negotiations. An independent Palestine in a continued state of war with Israel.
This is the reason that, regardless of who is governing Israel, there has never been peace. Territorial disputes are solvable; existential conflicts are not.
Land for peace, yes. Land without peace is nothing but an invitation to suicide.
Cheering for Palestine: If not now, the future looks so bright!
There is little doubt they will get the votes from the anti-American, anti-Israel UN....but can they get past a US veto?
