And there, in a brief nutshell... is why this country is doomed. You've heard of Peak Oil - well America has hit Peak Intelligence. Probably passed about 30 years ago.
If this video, which I've seen before - wasn't so frightening, it would be hilarious. Unfortunately, we are living in a time in America where disasterous forces have come together - lack of education, blind "patriotism", ignorance and mass media manipulation. And boy oh boy, does that make the gov't in Washington just salivate! Care for another well timed Osama video, anyone?
And I especially loved the part at the end where people were asked about the fictional country, and whether they thought we should invade it!!!! WOW. Just goes to show how many Americans have that Pavlovian response to anything to do with military! (KICK ASS!!! YEAH!) and couple that with idiotic blind faith put in their leaders - well it's not difficult to see how this country has sank so low. Classic also was "Do you support the invasion of "fictional country" and the one guy goes.... "Of course I do... I'm a Veteran!" Heard that before. Wow... pretty sad stuff.

Well, if the "rest of the world" is basing its opinion in total of the US based on a video such as this, that doesn't say much for the intelligence of the "rest of the world." We have to remember that in this or any montage of the stupid random people, there is always editing involved to save the "worst cases" for the video!
Despite our (more than generous) share of idiots and know-nothings, we still manage to produce an overwhelming cache of intellectual and cultural innovations as a nation.
Then again, taking a cue from DuBois, it's pretty much the exceptional "Talented Tenth" that keeps the worst of society from driving the nation off a cliff.
Wow...that's about all I can say. Where did they find these people?
Maybe they figured out where the bulk of Bush's approval rating comes from, and figured that would be a great place to start
I bet they interviewed over 100 people to get those answers. You notice a few of them were used more than once.
Stupid people are everywhere. Our job as intelligent Americans is to convince them that Election Day 2008 was moved to November 5th out of respect for "Pearl Harbor Day". (Which is a month and three days later than election day, but how the hell do they know?)
Just an extension of Borat, or Leno's Jaywalking segment.
Frankly, I think you would find many citizens of other countries are ignorant too, they just lead their daily lives and don't pay attention to national issues.
I use to live in australia... they have some hilarious tv shows that pay the $hit out of americans.... we are soooo dumb... so self involved...
LOL.......
you would think that a country who sides with us on almost everything... that our public would atleast know who their prime minister is... no wonder the world lacks faith in america...
and to make it worse.... we create excuses for it..... LOL... we suck...

It plays well to the liberals that will jump on anything that discredits America, even if it is a video that only shows people that missed the questions and they will run with it as though all Americans are stupid.
The video is funny. What is not funny is the hate America crowd. What this really speaks to is the quality of our teachers and their ability to teach.

Oh just face it - as if it isn't pretty obvious - there are tons of Americans that are dumber than the day is long. This video exagerates a bit, yeah, but the general gist of it isn't too far off. And here we go again, it's another liberal/conservative thing.... it's never ending! If you point out the obvious, which is right in front of - you're a God damned liberal who hates America!
I don't hate America, quite the contrary. I just "hate" dumb ass Americans who are screwing up America.
