Of the 16 states that allow medical marijuana, they are all in the West, Southwest, Midwest and Northeast.

No states in the Southeast allow this, even though some of the most unhealthy people live in the Southeast.
Do they reject medical marijuana because they doubt the efficacy of this drug, or is it because of their strict religious viewpoint?

My guess is because the political establishment is largely Republican and many of these people are wedded to the hugely lucrative pharmaceutical drug industry.

Let me preface by saying I live in Florida and believe all drugs should be legal.

Southeastern voters (and therefore politicians) are still entrenched in reefer madness, not to mention the prison industrial complex wouldn't like to lose their money.

So, since NY, Conn, Rhode Island and New Hampshire are also on the list of states that do not allow medical pot, will you apply your prejudiced opinion to the people in those states also????

So are the people of NY "wedded to the hugely lucrative pharmaceutical drug industry"? Or are they just religious idiots who aren't as smart as you?

And how about Conn? Are they stupid too? And are they religious bible toters too?

At least try to apply your biased opinions evenly.

I'll answer for him as someone that grew up in Alabama, lived in New Hampshire and now lives in Florida

Yes, they are 'stupid' (your words) when it comes to this issue.
