Ford was not nearly the innovator Jobs or Gates or Edison were. He DID NOT invent the automobile! He instead was responsible merely for making autos more readily available and mass-produced by using the asseembly line (sort of) method; which too was already being used for other products. So he did not even invent that, either.

Ford was far, far more of an entrapreneur than an inventor or innovator.

Yeah, it's terrible when people confuse common sense with innovation.

My first ten patented inventions were merely common sense. "Obvious", that is!

I remarked to my patent lawyer that I was getting patents on obvious things that anyone could have thought of.

He yelled at me, "Don't ever, EVER, say "obvious"!

So, now I only say it when I'm talking about it.

I heard Steve Jobs fired an employee in an elevator one time.

All true, however, you forgot that the Apple I was released in 1976. Additionally, it was Steve Wozniak who created the first Apple, not Steve Jobs. Wozniak tried to sell his Apple to Hewlett-Packard, where he worked, but they were not interested. It was Steve Jobs who convinced Steve Wozniak to create the company Apple and sell his computer.

Steve Jobs had no technical background or experience. Even when he worked for Atari, it was his friend Steve Wozniak that did Jobs' work for him.
