If you recall, Obama received a 'Transparency Award' in a ceremony behind closed doors. Wasn't well publicized by the 'media' as an unearned Nobel Peace Surprise and a transparency award would be even too much for the propagandists as they would lose their 'incredibility' and be exposed for the shills they are.

The award should be returned if O's records are sealed.

there must be loophole somewhere that allows sealed records to be opened during a trial.

I guarantee you he will be out there declaring how transparent his admin is in the upcoming election and not one person will call him out on this nonsense. Not one.

The bill is only updating the original Presidential Records Act written 33 years ago to include elements that Bush had in an executive order in 2001. It will allow all current presidents to decide if a former president can claim a 'constitutionally based privilege' against disclosing his/her presidential records. It's not a big deal or a partisan move and has everything to do with gaining more transparency in government, not less.

Hmmmm..

According to the ultra conservative Judicial Watch, it has been parroted (by thier followers) that this is something new. It's not. Nothing more then clearing up a couple of (loosely interpreted) items. It hides less (it lets the next president decide if items should or should not be disclosed from the previous administration).

But, i see the usually suspects all bit.

Only in the eyes of a swooner could a bill to seal presidential records be touted as something that gains more transparency.
